TL;DR: HARPA AI is a Chrome extension that connects to several AI models and automates actions inside your browser — running commands, monitoring pages, scheduling tasks. Its annual individual plans run $12 or $19/month with Megatoken-based credits, or $240 once for a lifetime single-user seat. It does not offer refunds, and its free DEMO tier caps you at 10 messages and 100 command runs.

What Is HARPA AI, Exactly?

HARPA AI is a Chrome extension, built by HARPA AI Technologies LLC, that sits inside your browser and does three broad things: chats with several AI models at once, runs saved "commands" against whatever page you're looking at, and automates repetitive browser tasks on a schedule. Its own pricing page, fetched directly on September 5, 2026, advertises being "Trusted by" a claimed 500,000 professionals with a 4.7 rating shown at the top of the page; we could not independently verify the rating's source or sample size from that page alone, so treat it as HARPA's own stated figure rather than an audited number.

Under the hood, HARPA connects to models two different ways. Web Session Connections piggyback on an AI service you're already logged into in your browser — ChatGPT, Claude, and Google Gemini are the three named on its pricing page — using your existing account rather than API billing. Cloud Models, billed through HARPA's own Megatoken credits, give you direct access without needing separate logins: as of this check, that list names GPT-5.4, Sonnet 4.6, Gemini 3.1 Pro, DeepSeek V3, Perplexity Pro, Grok 4.1, and Llama 4. API Connections let you plug in your own key through OpenRouter, Straico, Azure, and other providers, per the same page.

That three-way structure is the thing to understand before comparing HARPA's price to a single model subscription. A $20/month ChatGPT Plus subscription buys you one model. HARPA's $12 or $19/month buys you the extension itself, free web-session access to three chat services you'd otherwise pay for separately, a Megatoken allowance for direct Cloud Model calls, and the option to bring your own API key on top for anything the built-in connections don't cover. Whether that adds up to real savings depends entirely on how many of those you'd actually use; more on that below.

Who's Actually Behind It?

HARPA AI Technologies LLC has run the product since 2021, per the copyright line on its own site, and its footer states it is "Designed and engineered in Finland". Billing runs through FastSpring, described on HARPA's own FAQ as a "secure and trusted global payment service provider" supporting major cards, PayPal, Amazon Payments, ACH transfer, and a few regional methods depending on your location. Plan changes, cancellations, and invoices are all self-serve through an Account Settings page rather than requiring a support ticket, per the same FAQ.

What Does HARPA AI Cost?

Every figure below comes directly from harpa.ai/pricing, read on September 5, 2026.

PlanPriceMegatokensSchedule Commands / Advanced Automation
DEMO (free)$0—Not included; 10 messages/day, 100 command runs total
for Everyone$12/month, billed annually75/yearNot included
for Pros (labeled "Popular")$19/month, billed annually225/yearIncluded
for Life$240 one time, single user30Included

The free DEMO plan, per HARPA's own FAQ, gives you "Access ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini on web session connections, limited to 10 message a day." It also includes "Up to 100 total AI command runs, page-aware, web-aware, and parameterized AI messages", plus access to predefined and custom commands and web monitors. It still requires creating an account; it is not a no-signup tool.

Two structural notes worth knowing before you subscribe. First, the jump from "for Everyone" to "for Pros" is only $7/month, but it unlocks both Schedule Commands and Advanced Automation outright — if scheduling anything is the reason you're looking at HARPA, the cheaper tier will not do it. Second, the "for Life" plan is genuinely a one-time payment offering "unlimited Web Session connections for life", per its own page, but it only bundles 30 Megatokens of Cloud Model usage; heavy Cloud Model users on that plan are expected to top up separately or bring their own API key.

What Are Megatokens, and How Far Do They Go?

HARPA bills its Cloud Model usage in a unit it calls a Megatoken, and its own FAQ is specific about the conversion rather than leaving it vague: "1 Megatoken is 1 million input tokens on efficient models and is roughly 750,000 words of input text in English." Output tokens, the same FAQ notes, "cost x3 input tokens", and premium models like ChatGPT, Claude Sonnet, and Gemini Pro "cost more tokens per request" than lighter models.

Translated into something more concrete, HARPA's own FAQ estimates one Megatoken covers roughly:

Per 1 Megatoken (HARPA's own published estimate):
- 100 command runs, YouTube summaries, or page-aware queries
- 300 chat messages using premium models (GPT-5.4, Sonnet 4.6, Gemini 3.1 Pro)
- 3,000 chat messages using efficient models (GPT-5 Nano, Haiku, DeepSeek)

Run that math against the "for Everyone" plan's 75 Megatokens a year and you get a rough sense of scale: comfortably enough for occasional command runs and page summaries, tight if you're running premium-model chat as your daily driver, since 75 Megatokens at the premium-model rate is roughly 22,500 messages spread across twelve months — plenty for most individuals, but worth checking against your own actual usage pattern before assuming either tier covers you. HARPA's FAQ also notes that page-aware commands "consume more tokens than basic chat messages due to increased context", so a heavy-automation workflow will burn through Megatokens faster than a chat-only one at the same message count.

Does HARPA Have a Team Plan?

Yes, alongside the Individual tab its pricing page also shows a Teams tab, built around what HARPA calls a Space. Per its own FAQ: "Space is a personal, team or organization workspace, and is a place for storing your commands". On the Pros-equivalent team tier, "you can connect multiple members to your space to share commands across your team and organization." Billing follows the space, not the individual: "S-tier subscriptions are purchased per space and billed per number space members", per the same page. We did not price out a multi-seat space directly, since per-seat totals weren't part of the individual pricing view we fetched; if you're buying for a team, get the actual per-seat number from the Teams tab before you commit to a headcount.

What Can HARPA AI Actually Automate?

This is the part of the review we have to be most careful about, and the most honest thing to say up front: we did not create a HARPA account or run a live automation for this piece. This review does not sign up for or pay for any product it covers, so what follows is HARPA's own documented description of what its automation features do, not a test we ran and can show you the results of.

Per its pricing page, Schedule Commands and Advanced Automation are bundled together starting on the "for Pros" plan and up. All three paid individual tiers, including the cheapest, list "Monitor Prices and Pages", "AI Vision Features", "Summarize PDFs and Files", and "Create Reusable Commands" as included features, plus the ability to "Fine-Tune Default Commands" rather than write everything from scratch. What separates "for Everyone" from "for Pros" and "for Life" specifically is Schedule Commands and Advanced Automation, marked "Not included" on the cheapest tier and included on both of the others. The free DEMO plan's own feature list is narrower and separately stated in HARPA's FAQ, covering "predefined and custom commands, and web monitors" rather than the full paid feature set above.

If the goal is deciding whether to trust an unattended automation with something that matters, HARPA's own free DEMO tier's 100-command-run cap is a reasonable place to actually test that yourself before paying, rather than taking any review's word for it, ours included.

Does HARPA Really Replace $140 a Month in Subscriptions?

HARPA's pricing page runs a section labeled "Cost Efficient", listing what it calls "Replaces": ChatGPT at $20/month, Claude at $20/month, Gemini at $20/month, xAI Grok at $30/month, Llama at $10/month, Perplexity at $20/month, and DeepSeek at $20/month. Add those seven figures together and they come to $140/month in separate subscriptions, a total HARPA's own page implies but does not print as a single sum.

Worth being clear-eyed about what that comparison actually claims and doesn't. It is HARPA's own marketing framing, not an independently audited price comparison, and it compares against the premium paid tier of each named service rather than each service's own free plan, several of which exist. It is also weighing one subscription that connects to several models against several separate subscriptions run in parallel, which is a real and legitimate value proposition for anyone who genuinely wants access to all of those models, but a much weaker one for someone who only ever actually uses one or two. If you already only use ChatGPT, the honest comparison for you is HARPA's $12 or $19 a month against ChatGPT's own subscription, not against every model on the list at once.

There's also a usage-shape mismatch worth naming. The seven subscriptions HARPA lists are each unlimited or near-unlimited within their own service. HARPA's own Cloud Model access is metered in Megatokens even on the "for Pros" plan, so the comparison holds cleanly for someone whose actual monthly usage stays inside HARPA's allowance, and holds less cleanly for someone who currently uses several of those services heavily and would burn through 225 Megatokens fast under HARPA's own math. Check your real message volume against the per-Megatoken estimates above before assuming the swap is a straight win.

How Does HARPA Compare to a Browser AI Sidebar Like Sider?

HARPA and a browser sidebar tool like Sider AI sit in the same rough category — both live in your browser and connect to multiple AI models — but the emphasis differs. Sider leans toward chat, translation, and content generation across whatever page you're on; HARPA leans harder into scheduled automation and page monitoring on top of that same multi-model chat layer. We cover Sider's own pricing and free-tier limits directly in Sider AI Review 2026 if automation specifically isn't the deciding factor for you and multi-model chat quality is.

Neither tool solves the same problem Prompt Architects does. Both HARPA and Sider are about running AI actions inside your browser session; we're about writing, storing, and reusing better prompts across whatever model you already use, HARPA or Sider included. If you want both, a saved prompt library and a browser automation layer are not competing purchases; they're complementary ones, the same way we cover for prompt marketplaces generally in Are Prompt Marketplaces Worth It?

So, Is HARPA AI Worth It?

For its actual stated job, browser automation plus multi-model chat access, HARPA's pricing is straightforward and its documentation is unusually specific about credit math, which is more transparency than most tools in this space publish. $12 or $19 a month billed annually is not a hard price to justify if you genuinely use scheduled commands and page monitoring; if you don't, you're paying for automation you're not using.

Two things to weigh honestly before you subscribe. First, HARPA does not offer refunds, full stop, per its own billing FAQ: "We do not offer refunds. Our policy is to provide a demo period for every paid feature we offer, so that you have an informed purchase decision." Use that demo period; it's the only safety net you'll get. Second, its cost-efficiency comparison against $140/month of separate subscriptions is real marketing math against real prices, but it's most persuasive if you'd otherwise pay for several of those services at once, not if you only use one.

A third thing worth weighing, less obvious than price: the "for Life" plan is the only one that locks in unlimited web-session connections permanently, per HARPA's own page, but it ships with just 30 Megatokens of Cloud Model allowance, less than the cheapest monthly plan's annual total. That trade only makes sense if you plan to lean on the free web-session connections to ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini as your daily driver and treat Cloud Model access as an occasional extra, not the other way around. Read the plan comparison table against your own actual usage pattern rather than the sticker price alone; a one-time $240 payment feels cheaper than $19 a month right up until you're topping up Megatokens every few weeks to make up for the smaller included allowance.

If browser automation and scheduled commands are the actual job, HARPA is built for that and prices it clearly. If what you actually want is a place your best prompts live and stay reusable across whatever model you're automating with, that's a different, complementary tool, and it's worth having both rather than expecting one to cover the other.
