AI Prompts by Industry: The Complete Index (14 Verticals)

Every AI prompt pack on this blog organized by industry and professional vertical: 14 verticals, 67 links, from architecture and photography to founders, agencies, and sales teams.

TL;DR: This blog's prompt packs cover 14 industry and professional verticals as of 2 September 2026, not the 60 an earlier plan assumed. Five are true business sectors (architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, churches, photography); nine are professional functions with their own dedicated packs. Below: every vertical, alphabetically, with its best starting pack.

What does "vertical" mean on this page?

Two different things, and both are real. Business sectors are traditional industries: architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, churches and faith organisations, and photography. Professional functions are job categories with their own dedicated, non-overlapping prompt packs: founders, marketing teams, sales teams, agencies, product managers, developers, freelancers, and researchers. We group them the same way here because a founder searching "AI prompts for my business" and an architect searching the same phrase both want one thing: the packs built for their exact world, not a generic list.

Neither grouping is arbitrary. A sector earns its own entry when the prompts genuinely can't transfer, an architecture prompt and a photography prompt share almost no vocabulary. A function earns its own entry the same way: a founder's investor-update prompt and a product manager's release-note prompt both look like status reporting from a distance, but the audience, the metrics that matter, and the failure mode of getting the tone wrong are different enough that this blog built separate packs rather than one generic "business update" pack for everyone.

Everything below links to a real, live post. This blog also maintains a companion master index of the same 42 packs organized by role and task instead of by vertical; nothing from it is repeated here in full.

The count was built the same way both times: every file under this blog's post directory was read directly, its draft field checked, and its title and link pulled from that file rather than typed from memory. A post marked as a draft has no live URL and no sitemap entry, so it was left out entirely rather than linked and left to 404. That is also why the number on this page can only go up over time, never down by a rename: a vertical is added the day its first pack goes live, not the day someone plans to write one.

14 verticals, A to Z. Each row's full section, with every pack for that vertical, follows below.

Academic Research

Researchers and academics get four packs covering the stages of a project, from scoping a review to filing the finished citations.

Start with 30 AI Prompts for Literature Review & Research Synthesis: scoping, summarization, comparison matrices, gap analysis, and methodology critique.

More for this vertical: 30 AI Prompts for Academic Writing (structuring arguments and drafting abstracts, integrity rules first), Prompt Templates for Grant Writing & Abstracts, 20 AI Prompts for Managing Citations and References, and Best AI Prompt Tools for Academics & Researchers.

Agencies

Agencies get five packs split between client-facing deliverables and the account-management work that keeps a client roster running.

Start with 30 AI Prompts Agencies Use for Client Deliverables: strategy docs, creative briefs, campaign copy, reporting, and client presentations.

More for this vertical: Scoping, Reporting & Client Comms: AI Prompts for Agency Account Work, One Prompt System, Ten Clients, How Agencies Stop Losing AI Work When Staff Leave, and Best AI Prompt Platforms for Agencies & Teams.

Architecture & Building Design

The largest vertical on this blog: seven prompt packs plus one interactive generator, because architecture splits into distinct drawing tasks that don't share a single prompt style.

Start with AI Prompts for Architects (Building Design, Not Prompt Design): 25+ copy-paste image prompts for massing studies, material exploration, and precedent research, plus what image AI still can't do.

More for this vertical: ChatGPT for Architects: A Practical Workflow (21 prompts, briefing through client reports), 30 AI Prompts for Architectural Rendering and Visualisation, Architecture Prompts for Gemini (18 prompts built around multimodal site photos and plan scans), Prompt Engineering for Architects: A Practical Course, and Architecture Prompt Generator, a fill-in-the-blanks tool rather than a fixed pack. Two closely related sectors get their own sections below: Interior Design and Landscape Architecture. Midjourney Prompts for Architecture (V8 Parameters) covers the same industry through one specific tool's syntax.

Churches & Faith Organisations

One pack, and it's the only one on this page that spends as much time on where AI shouldn't be used as where it should. Church admin has the same recurring writing load as any small nonprofit, a weekly newsletter, a volunteer rota, event copy, but it also carries content a generic prompt has no business touching.

AI Prompts for Churches and Faith Organisations: 26 templates for newsletters, rotas, events, grants, and translation, plus where to draw the line at sermons, scripture citations, and pastoral care. That line is the actual point of the pack, not a disclaimer bolted onto the end of it.

Content Creators

Content creators get five packs covering the idea-to-upload pipeline, plus the two failure modes that make AI-written content sound generic.

Start with 50 AI Prompts for YouTube Scripts, Hooks & Titles: scripts, hooks, titles, Shorts, and descriptions, with bracketed variables you fill in once and reuse.

More for this vertical: Content Creator AI Workflow (idea to script to thumbnail to Shorts), Why AI-Written Scripts Flop, Batch a Month of Content With Prompt Templates and Variables, and Best AI Prompt Tools for Content Creators.

Developers & Software Teams

Nine packs and guides, more than any function except architecture, split between what to prompt (code tasks) and how to manage prompts as a team asset.

Start with 40 AI Prompts for Software Development: requirements through incidents, API and schema design, testing, migrations, and CI/CD.

More for this vertical: 35 AI Prompts for Code Review, Debugging & Refactoring, 25 AI Prompts for Refactoring Legacy Code, 30 AI Prompts for Debugging (Error to Root Cause), 25 ChatGPT Prompts for Developers, and the dev-team prompt-management set: MCP Prompt Management, Prompt Versioning, Reusable Prompt Variables for Dev Teams, and Best Prompt Management Tools for Developers.

Founders & Startups

Eight packs and guides, the single biggest professional-function cluster, spanning the recurring writing tasks of running an early-stage company.

Start with 40 AI Prompts Every Startup Founder Needs in 2026: fundraising, hiring, GTM, and ops, with bracketed variables you fill in once.

More for this vertical: 30 ChatGPT Prompts for Founders Building in Public, AI Prompts for Startups: The Early-Stage Founder's Week, 20 AI Prompts for Investor Updates, and the founder-workflow set: The Founder AI Workflow, Why Your Startup's AI Content Sounds Like Everyone Else's, The Founder's Prompt System, and Best AI Prompt Managers for Founders & Small Teams.

Freelancers & Consultants

Five packs and guides, covering the whole client engagement from first proposal to final invoice.

Start with 40 AI Prompts for Proposals, Outreach & Client Work: proposals, cold outreach, discovery calls, deliverable drafts, and testimonial asks.

More for this vertical: Proposal-to-Invoice Prompt Templates for Freelancers (six templates, proposal through invoice), Charge More, Deliver Faster: The Freelancer Prompt Library, Stop Rewriting the Same Prompt for Every Client, and Best AI Prompt Tools for Freelancers.

Interior Design

One pack, organized by the specific job rather than by room type alone, which matters because a concept render, a materials board, and a client-facing mood board each need a different prompt shape even for the same room.

30 AI Prompts for Interior Design Concepts: whole-room, elevation, materials, lighting, layout, palette, period, small space, hospitality, and styling prompts, all copy-paste image prompts.

Landscape Architecture

One pack, and the most upfront of any pack on this blog about what a render can't tell you. A planting plan lives or dies on facts an image model has no way to check: hardiness zone, mature spread, and whether a species will actually survive next to the one beside it.

AI Prompts for Landscape Architecture: planting schedules, specs, and concept images, species-specific and seasonal, honest about what a render or an AI plan can't verify.

Marketing Teams

Ten packs and guides, the largest section here after architecture and founders, covering copy production and the systems that keep a team's output consistent.

Start with 45 AI Prompts for Email, Ads & Landing Pages That Convert: subject lines, sequences, ad variants by network, and landing-page sections.

More for this vertical: 50 ChatGPT Prompts for Marketers, 40 AI Prompts for Email Marketing, 40 AI Prompts for Ad Copy (Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn), 30 AI Prompts for Landing Page Copy, 25 AI Prompts for Nailing Your Brand Voice, and the marketing-systems set: Build a Brand-Voice Context, The Marketing Team Prompt Playbook, A/B Test Your Prompts Like You Test Your Ads, and Best AI Prompt Tools for Marketing Teams.

Photography

One pack, covering the business side of a shoot rather than the images themselves. A working photographer spends more hours on enquiries, contracts, and gallery delivery than on anything a camera does, and that's the gap this pack is built for.

AI Prompts for Photographers: The Business Around the Shoot: enquiries, briefs, shot lists, release admin, galleries, captions, and mood boards, 30 templates you can adapt.

Product Managers

Five packs and guides, covering the artifacts a PM writes and the recurring cadence of stakeholder communication.

Start with 30 AI Prompts for PRDs, User Stories & Roadmaps: PRDs, user stories, RICE prioritization, competitive analysis, and interview synthesis.

More for this vertical: Stakeholder Updates & Release Notes: Prompt Templates for PMs, From Meeting Notes to Spec, Keep Product Context in Every AI Chat, and Best AI Tools for Product Managers.

Sales Teams

Four packs, covering the outbound motion and the calls that follow it.

Start with 25 AI Prompts for Discovery Calls (Sales): research, opening, problem discovery, quantifying impact, and objections, not pitch scripts.

More for this vertical: 30 AI Prompts for Cold Outreach and Outbound Email, 20 AI Prompts for Competitive Analysis, and 25 AI Prompts for Writing Proposals That Win.

How do you pick the right pack inside a vertical?

Read the "start with" pack first, always, even if a "more for this vertical" link sounds closer to your exact task. The starting pack in each section above is the broadest one for that vertical, and the packs beneath it assume you already know the vocabulary the starting pack teaches. An agency account manager who opens the client-communication pack before the client-deliverables pack will hit tone and scope decisions the first pack already made explicit.

The same rule holds across verticals that share a job but not an audience. Architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture all produce a rendered image, and all three packs open the same way: with a paragraph on what an image model cannot verify (a structural load, a hardiness zone, a code clearance) before it hands you a single prompt. That paragraph is doing real work. Skipping to the prompts and skipping the caveat is the single most common way a rendered concept gets mistaken for a checked one.

What if your industry isn't on this list?

Then we haven't published a pack for it yet, and this page won't pretend otherwise. Restaurants, retail, healthcare, legal, real estate, and most other business types have no dedicated pack here as of 2 September 2026. A generic ChatGPT prompt still works for those; it just won't carry the field-specific traps the packs above spend their first section on, the ones a founder or an architect only learns by getting burned once. If you want to tell us what's missing rather than settle for a generic pack, here's the shape that's actually useful to send:

Industry or role: [what you do, in a few words]
Recurring task: [the thing you write or ask an AI for weekly]
Current problem: [why a generic ChatGPT prompt doesn't already solve it]

That's the same information behind every pack on this page. It's also the fastest way to tell us where the next one should go.
