Prompt Architects Pricing Explained (Free, Pro, Advanced, Team)

TL;DR: Prompt Architects pricing, read off the live site on 27 August 2026: Free $0, Pro $4.99/month or $49.99/year, Advanced $9.99/month or $99.99/year, Team $10/month plus $3.50 per teammate. A one-time Advanced Lifetime is $99.99 and Elite Lifetime is $249.99. The refund window is 7 days.

This is a page about our own pricing, written by the person who sets it, which is exactly the kind of page you should read sceptically. So here is the deal I will hold myself to: every number below was read off the live site today, with the URL attached, and where two of our own pages disagree with each other I say so in the post rather than letting you find it after you have paid.

There are more of those disagreements than I would like. Four, by my count. They are all in here.

What does Prompt Architects cost right now?

Four plans, plus a separate one-time lifetime option. Every price on this page is a launch-promotion price, and /pricing carries a banner reading "Limited Time Launch Offer — Up to 60% OFF all paid plans! Lock in these prices before they go up." It does not name the date they go up. I would rather it did, and until it does you should treat the promotion as open-ended rather than as a reason to hurry.

Yearly is roughly two months free rather than a deep discount: twelve months of Pro at the promotional monthly rate is $59.88 against $49.99 billed annually. The pricing page frames the annual saving against the $120 and $300 list prices instead, which produces the much larger "58% OFF" and "67% OFF" badges. Both framings are true. The second one flatters us more, and you should do the first bit of arithmetic yourself.

Is there really a free plan, and why can't you see it on the pricing page?

There is a free plan, and the pricing page currently does not render a card for it. That is the first contradiction, and it is ours.

Our FAQ page answers "Is Prompt Architects free?" with: "Yes! The Free plan includes 5 prompt enhancements per day, forever. No credit card required." A second FAQ entry adds that Free runs "with basic models." Meanwhile the pricing page's own FAQ block answers "Can I use the Free plan forever?" with "Yes! The Free plan is free forever" while the plan cards above it show only Pro, Advanced and Team. The page's structured data still publishes a Free offer at $0, so machines reading the page see a free tier that humans reading the same page do not.

If you want the free tier, sign up in the web app or install the extension. Do not go hunting for it on the pricing page, because it is not there today.

Five enhancements a day is a real allowance rather than a trial. It is enough to learn whether structured prompting changes your output quality, which is the only question worth answering before you spend anything. What do you get on Pro for $4.99 a month?

Pro is the single-user plan for people who prompt daily but not constantly. The cap is 200 architected prompts a month, which works out to roughly seven a day, and the prompt you feed it can be up to 5,000 characters.

The Compare Plans table on /pricing, read today, gives Pro: Refine and Shorten modes, the Tone Selector, 50 saved prompts, 100 history entries, template library, tags and search, the personal context library at 8,000 characters, image prompt generation, and priority support.

What Pro does not include is the part people most often get wrong. Quality Score is crossed out on Pro. So is JSON prompt support. So is video prompt generation, the video prompt library, the image prompt library (as distinct from image prompt generation), preferred LLM selection, faster processing and the Discord community.

One inconsistency to flag while you have that table open: the Advanced plan card sells "Tone Selector & Quality Score" as an Advanced upgrade, bundling the two together, while the comparison table on the same page gives Pro the Tone Selector and withholds only Quality Score. The table is the more granular of the two and is what I would trust, but I am not going to pretend the card and the table say the same thing, because they do not.

What does Advanced add for $9.99 a month?

Advanced removes the caps and adds the model-facing features. Unlimited prompts, unlimited library, unlimited history, a 10,000-character prompt limit and 15,000-character library limit, Quality Score, JSON prompt support, image prompt library, video prompt generation and library, preferred LLM selection, faster processing, one team seat and Discord access.

The honest way to frame the $5 gap: Advanced is worth it if you hit the 200-prompt ceiling, or if you specifically need JSON or video prompts. If you write ten prompts a month and mostly want somewhere to keep them, you are paying double for headroom you will never touch. Our own product data says most people use a fraction of what they buy, and I would rather you underbuy and upgrade than the reverse.

Every plan includes built-in AI, so no OpenAI or Anthropic key is required to use any of it. That is unusual in this category and it is the single strongest reason the cheap tiers are usable rather than decorative.

How does Team billing actually work?

Team is $10/month base plus $3.50 per teammate, or $100/year base plus $35 per teammate. You can invite 2 to 20 teammates. The owner is not counted as a seat, so a two-person team pays $17.00/month, which is the exact figure the pricing page's seat stepper shows and the figure published in the page's structured data.

Team includes everything in Advanced, with the quota shared across the workspace rather than allocated per person. The FAQ page adds detail the pricing page does not: shared prompt library, shared global variables, shared context files, and role-based permissions across Owner, Admin and Member, plus a personal space per member that never appears in the team library.

Team sharing is live and billable today, which makes it worth saying plainly that our own /features page still files Team Sharing under "Coming Soon", though it is live and has been for months. That page is wrong. It is the second of the four contradictions, and it is on my list to fix.

Should you buy the lifetime deal instead?

Maybe, but read the limits first, because the lifetime tiers are not the subscription tiers with the billing switched off. They are capped plans that happen to be paid once.

/lifetime-deal sells two tiers today:

Note the collision: Advanced at $99.99 per year is uncapped and includes Quality Score and JSON support. Advanced Lifetime at $99.99 once is capped at 1,500 prompts a month and, per that page's own comparison table, excludes both. Same number, different products. If you saw "$99.99" somewhere and assumed you knew what it bought, that is why.

Is the AppSumo deal still available?

No. Checked on 27 August 2026, the AppSumo listing's structured data reads availability: SoldOut with availabilityEnds: 2026-08-05. The deal ran from 5 June to 5 August 2026 and is closed. Existing buyers keep their entitlements and AppSumo's own 60-day marketplace guarantee. Nobody new can buy it.

I am mentioning it because the AppSumo tiers are still visible, still indexed, and disagree with our own page on one specific point. AppSumo's $99 tier lists tone selector, quality score and JSON prompt support as included. Our /lifetime-deal page marks Quality Score and JSON with a cross on the $99.99 Advanced Lifetime tier. Those two statements cannot both be describing the same entitlement, and I have not yet resolved which one is authoritative. Until I have, do not treat either as settled, and if you are an AppSumo buyer wondering what you own, ask support rather than reasoning from either page.

What is the refund window, and what do the Terms actually say?

Seven days. That is the number published on both pages that sell anything: the /pricing FAQ says "we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans", and /lifetime-deal says 7-day in its hero, its trust bar and its guarantee section.

One line on that same lifetime page, sitting directly above the tier cards, says "All plans include lifetime access, all future updates, and our 60-day money-back guarantee." It contradicts the other four statements on the page it lives on. Third contradiction. Seven days is the number I would plan around.

And then the part that a buyer really should hear from us first: our Terms of Service do not define a money-back window at all. The Terms, last updated 12 January 2026, cover only "Free Plan" and "Pro Plan" in their pricing section, never mention Advanced or Team, contain zero occurrences of the word "lifetime", and say only that "Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods unless required by law." We sell two lifetime products that our own Terms do not describe. Fourth contradiction, and the most serious of the four.

What Prompt Architects does not do

Buying decisions get made on absences as often as features, so here they are without softening.

• No public API. API Access sits on the roadmap on our features page, not in any plan. There is an MCP server that puts the prompt tools inside Claude Desktop, Cursor, Claude Code and Codex, and for many people that covers the real need. It is not a REST API and should not be bought as one.
• No mobile app. Also roadmap. It is a Chrome extension, a Firefox extension and a web app.
• No custom presets. Roadmap again. You get the template library, tags, contexts and global variables, which cover most of the ground, but not user-defined preset pipelines.
• We do not generate images or video. We generate the prompt. If you want pixels or frames, you still need Midjourney, Veo, Kling or whatever else you already use. Anyone selling you a $9.99 plan that makes video is selling you something else.
• The Firefox build is early. Same version number as Chrome, almost nobody on it.

Both of those figures are platform-labelled and dated on purpose. Our homepage currently publishes a single blended average and a review count that does not match either store, and that is a number I would not want you to buy on. Judge us on the labelled ones.

Which plan should you pick?

Start from usage, not from the feature list. Almost everyone overestimates the first and underestimates how little of the second they touch.

Pick nothing. Stay on Free if you write fewer than five prompts a day, or if you have not yet confirmed that structured prompting changes your output quality. Five a day, forever, no card. Most people who eventually pay us should spend two weeks here first. If you never exceed it, do not pay us.

Pick Pro at $4.99 if you write roughly seven prompts a day or fewer, want them saved and searchable, and do not need JSON or video prompts. The 50-prompt library ceiling is the constraint that bites first, before the 200-a-month cap does. If you are the sort who saves everything, you will hit 50 fast.

Pick Advanced at $9.99 if any one of these is true: you blow past 200 prompts a month, you need JSON-structured prompts, you write prompts for video models, or you want the Quality Score feedback loop. It is the only tier where video prompt generation exists.

Pick Team at $10 + $3.50/seat if two or more people need the same library, the same global variables and the same context files. Below that, two individual Advanced seats cost $19.98 against $17.00 for a Team of two, so Team is cheaper as well as more useful. The comparison flips only if your teammates would not actually use it.

Pick a lifetime tier if you are confident about long-term use and comfortable with a monthly prompt cap in exchange for never paying again. At 1,500 prompts a month, Advanced Lifetime pays back against Advanced yearly in about a year. Check the cap against your real volume first, not your imagined volume.

Pick us at all only after you have read the four contradictions above. If unresolved fine print in a purchase is a dealbreaker for you, that is a legitimate reason to wait, and I would rather you waited than churned.

Where our own pages contradict each other

Collected in one place, so you can check them yourself rather than take my word for it. All four were true on the live site on 27 August 2026.

1. The Free plan. /faq publishes 5 enhancements per day, forever. /pricing renders no Free card, while its own FAQ block on the same page says the Free plan is free forever and its structured data publishes a $0 Free offer.
2. Team Sharing. Sold on /pricing, documented in detail on /faq, and still listed on /features under a roadmap heading.
3. The refund window on the lifetime page. Four statements say 7-day. One line above the tier cards says 60-day. AppSumo's separate 60-day guarantee applies to AppSumo purchases only.
4. The Terms. They cover Free and Pro, never mention Advanced, Team or lifetime access, and define no money-back window.

None of these change what you are charged. All of them are the kind of thing that erodes trust when a customer finds them alone, after paying, which is the whole reason they are in this post instead of in a support ticket queue. They are being fixed. Until they are, the live pages are the record, and this post is dated so you can tell how stale it has become.
